Impressions of Loss:

Morphs as a Symbol for Grief

Linoleum, Carving Tools, Brayers, inks, & a wall

I encourage people to have a more open view and acceptance of the various and unique grieving processes that people may experience. Through the installation of this project, I hope to provide viewers with the opportunity to engage with the works and space itself as the stamps I have carved will be set out for them to observe, touch, ink, and create their own shared piece on one large canvas. The station will engage and inspire viewers to create a shared art piece with the carved linoleum stamps, inks and canvas I have provided. As a result, individuals will work together to carefully ink and pull their stamps on the shared canvas creating a shared and ever changing abstract work. Question prompts will be provided that will create an inviting and encouraging atmosphere despite the heaviness of the works.
